I have talked on a number of occasions of the 17-year cycle in the Economy/markets
1972-1974
1989-1991
2006-2008
2023-2025??
Even with that in mind the similarity in the way the
2-year yield is trading and how it traded in 2007 right down to the Employment Day is astounding as per the chart below.
At some stage this analog may well break down (especially given what we know about what came next historically) but for now it has not done so and remains the "roadmap" until proven otherwise.
